Hooke Park Campus of the Architectural Association

2013

The Hooke Park Campus of the Architectural Association is an experimental practice-based architecture place in the middle of the forest of Dorest for students to imagine and construct buildings.

One of the project was aiming at designing a student home only through reclaimed or recycled materials.

They called to us asking if our process could create an insulation material out of waste plastics with our technology. After testing our floss's properties, we realized it had very good thermal and phonic insulating properties. We found a ton of waste plastic from a local recycling company and gave them a machine to transform the waste into fibers and be then placed into cavities into the ground and walls.
